Your gut microbes come into contact with what you’re eating and what we eat can affect the composition and diversity of our gut microbiome. Therefore, it’s important to be eating the right things to look after our gut.  

Whilst kids should be allowed treats sometimes – try and avoid to many highly processed foods filled with sugar around the house as these can encourage the growth of bad bacteria in their gut! 

Here are some simple swaps you could try – 

Instead of sugary cereal in the morning why not try porridge topped with some delicious fruit.
